Clash Verge Rev ships for Windows, macOS, and Linux, but the wrong arch/package fails loudly. On locked-down work PCs, Tun may be unavailable—that isn’t necessarily a failed install; verify system proxy first.
Use the download center only. Safety: safe or virus.
Build matrix
| OS | Pick | If it won’t start |

| macOS | Intel or Apple silicon | Gatekeeper “damaged” gate |
| Linux | DEB / RPM / portable | Missing deps, service mode |
Choosing builds
- Windows: x64 vs ARM64; SmartScreen; firewall.
- macOS: Intel vs Apple silicon; Gatekeeper help: damaged app.
- Linux: DEB/RPM/portable—Linux guide.
Work PCs, VPN, reinstalls
No admin: portable/user-dir install; browser via system proxy. Don’t dual-stack corp VPN + Clash forever; ports: ports. Before reinstall, copy URL, Merge, mixed port, Allow LAN (backup). A “brand new” client after reinstall usually means the config directory was wiped.
One acceptance path
- Version matches the download page.
- Nodes > 0 after update.
- System proxy shows connection hits.
- Tun only if needed (Tun start failed).
Installed but unusable
no nodes, system proxy, sites blocked, startup proxy.
Upgrade don’ts
Back up before overwrite. Don’t run multiple proxy clients on one port; don’t disable AV for mystery packs; don’t flip Tun+DNS+rules in the first hour. getting started.
