v2.5.0 Adds Subscription QR Sharing

Clash Verge Rev v2.5.0 is the most feature-heavy version of this round (a change in the y digit means new features). Besides bumping the Mihomo core to v1.19.25, it added several genuinely useful things. Here are the highlights.

Subscription QR sharing

You can now turn a subscription into a QR code, making it easy to import on a phone or a second computer by scanning — no more copy-pasting a long subscription URL. Handy when switching devices or setting things up for family.

Software auto-update

A new background auto-update: when a new version is detected, it downloads in the background and installs on next launch. With it on, you no longer have to watch GitHub for new releases — great if you'd rather not update manually.

macOS tray speed display & UX tweaks

  • The macOS menu-bar tray can show live up/down speed, so you can see throughput without opening the main window.
  • Proxy group lists gained a Sticky Scroll effect — group headers stick to the top when you have lots of nodes, making them easier to find.
  • Hotkey actions now notify their result, so you're no longer left wondering whether a shortcut took effect.

A batch of stability fixes

v2.5.0 also fixed several old issues: the system proxy not fully turning off in PAC mode, occasional freezes when toggling the proxy on macOS, Tun not taking effect immediately on Linux when disabled, and rendering errors on Linux under Wayland. macOS and Linux users get a more stable experience after updating.

These features are available once you're on v2.5.0 or newer. If you're on an older build, updating to the latest is recommended — your subscriptions and config won't be lost.

For the follow-up fixes see the v2.5.1 update notes, and for the core see the Mihomo core upgrade notes. To pair this with auto-update, start with how to import a subscription. Get the installer from the download center, and full onboarding is in the guide.
