Version numbers cause anxiety: the client may still be v2.5.1 while Mihomo shows v1.19.27 and Alphas appear in the list. As of late June 2026, daily users should follow the stable client; dig into Mihomo when debugging protocols/cores.
Prefer Clash Verge Rev v2.5.1 for normal use. Newer Mihomo builds and Alphas fit people chasing fixes or custom setups—not everyone running system proxy, subscriptions, and Tun.
What “stable” means here
v2.5.1 (2026-05-20) fixed issues such as backup settings. That’s enough for most daily workflows.
Why the core looks newer
Client and core ship on different cadences. A newer core alone is not a mandate to hand-replace binaries.
Who should use Alpha
People who can roll back and are testing protocols. Skip Alpha on machines that must stay boring.
What ordinary users should do
- Install the stable client.
- Verify subscription + proxy/Tun.
- Don’t swap cores without a concrete bug pointing there.
How this news page will update
We’ll note stable client releases and security-relevant core changes worth normal users’ attention—not every Alpha commit. Builds: download center.
